Heidi Gates graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Finance in 1989. She spent the first nine years of her career as the Marketing Director for a group of medical and chiropractic clinics in Southeast Michigan. In the summer of 1998, an opportunity emerged to enter the Residential Lending Industry. She began her career performing refinance and purchase transactions in both the conforming and subprime markets. Before long, Heidi opened her own mortgage company - Zurich Mortgage Corporation. The company slogan supported the company's vision, "Protect Your Family - Get a Second Opinion." Heidi had witnessed too many individuals falling pray to the 'bait and switch' predatory lending practices in the mortgage arena. In 2007, she had the amazing opportunity to merge her talents with a real estate brokerage by lending on behalf of Mortgage 1, Inc. She currently originates FHA, VA, Rural Development, MSHDA and Conventional Loans in the State of Michigan.
